Kavita Shah.

Kavita breathes stories and is a passionate professional storyteller. She facilitates storytelling experiences for children and adults utilising various storytelling techniques and art therapies methods.

She likes to work with children – and their parents and teachers – to help all involved gain insights into different aspects of storytelling.

Kavita likes to enable young people to have visions and goals, and to increasingly develop life skills, especially those involving empathy, resilience, reflection, personal growth, and transformation.

Kavita has excellent communication and instructional skills. Her lively storytelling performances using different storytelling styles keep people of all ages spell-bound. Her repertoire of stories includes a wide range of Indian and other Asian folktales, European fairytales, Personal and Family stories, True-life incidents, and modern stories from numerous cultures.

Storytelling spaces for these programs include schools, cultural associations, NGO's, social clubs, libraries, museums, Art and Literature festivals, community centres, and birthday and other private social parties and get-togethers. On Independence Day, 2023, she told stories for 400 students (Stds 1 to 8) at a government school in Ahmedabad.

Kavita's storytelling workshops are highly interactive and are based on various storytelling ideas and styles, with art-integrated-in-education and therapy activities. These workshops have proven to be effective for varied groups and ages.
