Sinha. 1 Nivedita Sinha. Nivedita
has earned a UG degree in Geography and a Masters degree in Sociology. She has
always believed in innovative methods of teaching, which encouraged her to
undertake a course in Montessori. Spending time with children and engaging
them in different activities gave her happiness, which motivated her to
pursue storytelling to connect with children. Nivedita's
storytelling journey started in earnest during the uncertainty and chaos of
Covid-19. She found solace and purpose in the art of storytelling. During
this time, she took training under SEAC (Storytelling Education and Art India
Council) and then from Kathalaya. The
process caused Nivedita to explore various sides of herself. She learned to
not only present stories in interesting ways, but also was motivated to weave
stories and to pen them. She has
participated in Jharkhand Storytelling Festival 2021 and 2022, Katha Karvan,
Kathapotporri, the Rasoi Ke Rahasya podcast, and presented in StoryCircle Edu
Sarthi through Facebook Live. Nivedita
leads storytelling sessions at home for children. Her favourite story genres
are mythology and folklore. She enjoys using stories for healing and humour.
She believes story has power to heal, entertain, enhance understanding and
create interest in the subject. Storytelling benefits the audience as well as
the storyteller. While amongst audience members it develops knowledge,
understanding, and interest, it also enhances the confidence level of the
storyteller. Video
